BamDoom

by Michael Denathorn (Dabzy)

A Doom-style raycaster with textured walls, a lone imp and pickups. A bit of an experiment to see how the runtime handles this.

Description
A corridor shooter built on a runtime that only draws 2D - there is no 3D engine here at all. A DDA raycaster steps a ray through a grid for each column of the screen and draws the wall it hits as a single vertical line, scaled by distance; textured walls, floors, ceilings, doors, switches and sprites are all faked from that one trick. Written in BambooBasic and transpiled to JavaScript for the browser.
